How to Start/ Boot Your VPS Using SolusVM?

If your VPS is down/offline, you can start it using SolusVM.


1.
 Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.

2. If you have multiple VPS, select the appropriate one.

3. Scroll down and you can see a “Boot” option. Click it!

4. It will show a confirmation window. Click on “Yes“.

It can take a few minutes for your VPS to start.

How to Shutdown Your VPS Forcefully or Gracefully Using SolusVM?

You can shutdown your VPS in two ways – forcefully or gracefully, using SolusVM.

How to Gracefully Shutdown your VPS via SolusVM?

 Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.

2. If you have multiple VPS, select the appropriate one.

3. Scroll down and you will see a “Shutdown” option. Click it!

4. It will show a confirmation window. Click on “Yes“.

It may take a few seconds or a minute and if the VPS is shut down, it will show a message, notifying you.

For forceful shutdown, you can click the “Power Off” option in SolusVM.

How to shutdown your VPS via the Command Line?
(This option is similar to pulling the power cord from your computer and there is a chance for loss of data.)

1. Login to your SSH Client.
2. Enter the command “poweroff” (without the quotes).

Once you execute this command, your VPS will shut down quickly.

How to Reboot/Restart Your VPS Using SolusVM?

If you want to restart your VPS, you can do it via the Command line or SolusVM.

How to reboot/restart your VPS via SolusVM?

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.

2. If you have multiple VPS, select the appropriate one.

3. Scroll down and you can see a “Reboot” option. Click it!

4. It will show a confirmation window. Click on “Yes“.

It can take a few seconds or minutes and when your VPS reboots, it will display a message, notifying you.

How to reboot/restart your VPS via Command Line?
The best method of rebooting your VPS is via the Command line because it will first stop all processes and then initiate the reboot.

1. Login to your SSH Client.
2. Enter the command “shutdown -r now” (without the quotes)

Once you execute the command, it may take some time and then your VPS will reboot. If your VPS does not come online after 5 to 10 minutes, we advise you to reboot your VPS from the SolusVM (the so-called force reboot).

How to Change the SolusVM Control Panel Password?

If you can access your SolusVM VPS control panel, you can easily change your SolusVM password. We recommend you to change the password every few months or use a secure password.

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.
2. If you have multiple VPS, select the appropriate one.

3. In the Top Bar Menu, click on “My Account“.

 Under “Change Account Password” enter the following details:
Current Password: Your current SolusVM VPS Control panel password.
New Password: Your new password.
Repeat New Password: Again enter your new password.

Click on “Update Password“.

How to Enable or Disable the SolusVM VPS Login Alert?

Whenever you login to your VPS control panel, you will receive a login email alert and you can disable this function from the SolusVM. However, we recommend that you enable this feature for security reasons.

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.
2. If you have multiple VPS, select appropriate one.

3. From the Top Bar Menu, click on “My Account“.

4. Under “Account Settings” you can find a “Login Alert” option. If you wish to disable it, unmark this option. Alternatively, if you want to enable it, tick mark this option.

How to Change the SolusVM Account Email Address?

If you want to update your SolusVM VPS Control panel email address, follow this instruction.

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.

2. If you have multiple VPS, select appropriate one.

3. In the Top Bar Menu, click on “My Account“.

4. Under “Account Settings“, enter your new email address in the email field and click on “Update Settings“.

When the email address is changed, you will see a message like “Settings Updated Successfully“.

How to Check the RAM of the VPS, the IP, the Disk Capacity, and the Virtualization Details?

You can check your VPS specification like RAM, disk space, virtualization, IP Address, etc from the SolusVM Control Panel.

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.
2. If you have multiple VPS, select the appropriate one.

3. Under your VPS hostname, you can see VPS specifications like the IP address of the VPS, the operating system”s disk size, the amount of available RAM, the hostname, the Virtulization details such as KVM, Xen, OpenVZ, etc.

How to check whether the VPS status is “online” or “offline”?

If you want to check your SolusVM VPS status, and determine whether the VPS is offline or online, you can find out from the client area or from the SolusVM Control Panel.

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.
2. If you have multiple VPS, select the appropriate one.

3. Under your VPS hostname. You can see the VPS details. Then check “Status” and If your VPS is offline, it will show “Offline“. If the VPS is online, it will show “Online” or “Unavailable“.

How to login to SolusVM Control Panel?

After you received your VPS login details you can find a VPS Login URL, username and password in your welcome email.

SolusVM Login details example:
Control Panel URL: https://cp.example.com or IP Address.
Username: vmuser123 or johndoe
Password: example

How to login to SolusVM Control Panel?
1. Open VPS Control Panel.
2. Enter your SolusVM username in the username field.
3. Enter your SolusVM Password in the password field.

Click on “Login” button and then you will be redirected to your SolusVM VPS management area.

How to Include or Exclude a Domain from AutoSSL in cPanel?

You can include or exclude your domain from AutoSSL.

If your domain is newly created, wait for few hours so cPanel can automatically install an SSL on your domain. However, if an SSL is not installed on your domain even after 24 hours, first check the last log of AutoSSL from cPanel >> SSL/TLS Status >> Certificate Status.

1. Log into your cPanel account.
2. In the “Security” section, click on the “SSL/TLS Status” icon.


3. Under domains, choose the domain you wish to include and then click on the Include x domains during AutoSSL button and your selected domain/sub-domains will be included in AutoSSL.


4. Later, should you wish to exclude your domain, which you included, under Domains text tick mark the domains you wish to exclude and click on the Exclude x domains during AutoSSL button and your selected domain/subdomains will be excluded during AutoSSL.


Note: Only domains included by you can be excluded. It means you can™t exclude domains unless they are added in the inclusion option by you.
